Changes to Yearly Artist Payments

We’re making changes to how year-end payment of seller earnings are dispersed. Here’s what to know and how this might impact you.

What’s Changing

Redbubble has a monthly payment threshold of $20/20€/£20. Historically, artists received a yearly payment when they earned over $2/2€/£2 but had not reached the $20/20€/£20 threshold. Moving forward, we will require all artists to meet the monthly payment threshold in order to receive any payment and will be removing the yearly payment. So, if your earnings meet or exceed this threshold, you receive payments each month.

What This Means for You

If your account balance is below $20/20€/£20 by December 31, 2024, after any applicable fees are deducted, you will not receive a payment in January. Your balance will remain in your account and continue to accumulate until the threshold is reached.

Why We’re Doing This

During processing of yearly pay runs, there are up to 15 times the amount of artists to be paid, so the process takes some extra time to organise. We’re making these changes to allow for regular, more consistent payouts, and maintain a platform that artists feel positive about contributing to.

When will I get paid?

If you meet or exceed the $20/20€/£20 threshold in any given month, you will be paid the subsequent month. Processing begins at the start of each month, resulting in payments landing in your account by the 15th.

PayPal payments are the quickest, so once we’ve processed your payment at our end, your payment should be in your PayPal account almost instantly. If you are paid via bank transfer, the payment can take an additional few business days to land in your account.

To ensure a seamless payment process once you meet the threshold, we ask you to review and confirm your payment details, so you don’t miss out on your well-deserved earnings.
