Introducing Magnets

Magnets: how do they work? Nobody’s really sure. We do know customers are going to love sticking these on fridges, lockers, and all kinds of metal surfaces. Here’s everything you need to know about new die-cut magnets, and how to add them to your Redbubble shop.

About Magnets

Magnets are printed on flexible, durable 0.5mm (20 mil) vinyl material. They’re die-cut in the shape of your design and they feature a white border of approximately 4mm. They come in small, medium and large sizes.

Adding Magnets to Your Shop

If you’re designing new magnets, we recommend setting your document up as a PNG file with a transparent background so that the magnet will be die-cut to fit the shape of your design.

Magnets share a tile with Stickers in the uploader. Uploading a file with the maximum pixel requirements (2800 x 2800 pixels) will ensure your design is available on all three magnet sizes and all four sticker sizes.

Adding them to your shop is super easy. To enable an existing design, just scroll down to the tile, click on Availability and Markup, tick the magnet box, and click “Apply Changes”.

Marketing Magnets

Magnets are an easy, affordable way for your customers to add personality to a space. They’re perfect for metal surfaces like lockers, filing cabinets, or fridges. If you’re looking for design inspiration, consider kids heading back to school, or people looking to refresh their home office or kitchen. Popular themes include food and drink, positive quotes and sayings, anything related to people’s hobbies or passions – and don’t forget up and coming holidays like Halloween.

Now is a great time to add any new designs you’ve been working on and (dare we say it) it’s not too early to start thinking about any designs you may want to add to your shop for holidays. While you’re adding designs, don’t forget to check your tags to help customers discover your products in Redbubble’s search.
