It doesn’t matter if you’re an established artist or an absolute beginner, chances are you’ve struggled with promoting yourself and your work. We recently released new Promotional Tools to give you more options for sharing lifestyle and product images featuring your designs, and now we’ve added a few more features to make sharing your work even easier.
Now you can measure how many people are clicking on links you share, by using your personalized shop link. We’ve also added direct sharing on the Promotional Assets page so you can share the product images directly to your social accounts with the click of a button.
Use Your Personalized Shop Link to Track Your Traffic
The simplest thing you can do to supercharge your self promotion efforts is to link to your Redbubble shop from your social profiles, and the best way to direct customers to your shop is using your personalized shop link. Your personalized shop link has the following format:
Most importantly, the link has tracking that will help you measure how many people are clicking on it – More on that in a moment. It also looks more professional than the standard link (www.redbubble.com/people/username).
Where to Find Your Personalized Shop Link
We’ve added your personalized shop link to the Artist Dashboard so it’s easy to copy from there, or you can replace ‘username’ in example above with your own username.
How to View Your Traffic
When you use your personalized shop link, you’ll be able to see the traffic you’ve directed to your shop on your Dashboard.
Scroll down to the section titled ‘Audience Traffic Sources’ and click on the tab called ‘My Shares’. This shows the traffic from any links you’ve shared. Our Help Center article on the Dashboard goes into greater detail on what each source means.
Direct Share Promotional Assets to Social
We recently added a new page called Promotional Assets, featuring all the product images for the products you’ve enabled. You can find this by navigating to the Manage Portfolio page, clicking on the cog icon, and clicking on ‘Promote’. You’ll also be directed to the page after you upload or edit a work.
So many artists have been sharing these images, we decided to make it even easier by adding a direct share button to each image. You can still download the images if you wish, or you can just click on the share button to share directly to Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest or Twitter.
You may be wondering why Instagram isn’t on the list. Direct sharing to Instagram is a little more complicated, especially from desktop vs mobile, so we haven’t been able to include it as part of this update. We’re exploring this further and hope to be able to add it in future.
