Whimsical illustrator and paper crafter
They applied. They were awesome. They became Redbubble Artists-in-Residence.
Selected artists are moving into Redbubble’s Melbourne and San Francisco offices to work on specialized creative projects lasting 3 to 8 months. And to have a bunch of fun.
Alle C has officially joined as our newest Melbourne Resident. To say we’re pumped is an understatement.
Originally from Vancouver, BC, Alle is a designer, illustrator, and paper crafter. She is the creator of Little Luxuries Loft and has made it her mission to create fun and whimsical DIY boxes and paper toys. For her residency project, Alle will be working on a children’s paper fantasy toy book, which sounds amazing!
1. Describe your work in 7 words or less.
Whimsical, colourful, feminine.
2. Tell us about the project you will be working on while in the RB residency program?
I’m working on a children’s fantasy paper toy book! I’m going to be designing 30 templates that
can be punched out and folded into little fierce and fun creatures. I’m very excited to be
embarking on this new project, making a children’s book has always been a dream of mine :)
3. Name a fear of yours.
Spiders….and things with too many legs in general make me nervous.
4. What is something most people don’t know about you?
I like to sing, usually when I’m alone or think I’m alone haha.
5. If you could go back in time, what would you tell your younger artist self?
I would say make art for yourself, don’t try to please other people. If you make what makes you
happy, it will show through your work.
The best way to keep up with Alle’s latest creations and projects, is by following her on Redbubble and Instagram. Also, make sure to sign up for our blog email updates (bottom of this page) and follow Redbubble Create on Instagram to keep up to date with all of the residents.
