#RBQuickdraw: 10 Space-Themed Works that are Out of this World

It’s Geek Week here at Redbubble and right now we’re all about science, aliens, and anything else unworldly. So it made sense to choose “space” as the theme for this week’s #RBquickdraw.

#RBquickdraw is a weekly challenge on our @redbubblecreate Instagram account in which we ask artists to create a piece of art in just 15 minutes. We’ve run two so far, and we’re not exaggerating when we say that submissions have blown us away.

Cool science news! Astronomers have found evidence of a ninth planet in our solar system (creatively called Planet Nine, I guess because Pluto was already taken). It’s 10 times bigger than the Earth and orbiting about 20 times further from the sun than Neptune – which is so far away the light from the sun isn’t strong enough to reflect back to earth, making this one enormous ninja. So they’ve been relying on the behaviour of other space objects to determine it’s presence and probable orbitable path. Space math was one of my fav elective subjects. I’m nerding out over here!
