Art+Mel: Behind the Scenes

Our Melbourne Headquarters has been a flurry of to-do lists, product deliveries, and pillow stuffing as the countdown begins for Art+Mel, the two day art event taking place in Melbourne’s CBD this weekend.

So many throw pillows

The Melbourne events team lead by events manager Ana, have been hard at work setting up two hotspots that celebrate Melbourne’s independent art. Showcasing artwork from over 100 different artists and spanning a range of Redbubble products, the hotspots will be located at the world famous Federation Square and Rutledge Lane.

Then, on Sunday night, we’ll party at Thousand £ Bend, featuring live art from Justine McAllister and Simon Sherry. Want tickets? Get them here.

Redbubble is excited to be holding an event not quite like anything we’ve held before. And we’re extra proud to be supporting Melbourne’s local artist community whilst doing so. Many of the Art+Mel artworks have been custom made for the event (such as our 1m wide pillows, maybe something the product team should look into, we think… ), and some artworks have been specifically created for our duvet covers.

We're gonna have some giant freakin' letters

If you’re in Melbourne this weekend, come to Art+Mel and support the artists whose work makes our streets, walls, beds, and coffee cups that little bit more amazing.
