Daily Inspiration: Akira Kurosawa on Searching

"I think that in order to find reality, each must search for his own universe, look for the details that contribute to this reality that one feels under the surface of things. To be an artist means to search, to find and look at these realities. To be an artist means never to look away."

These words from master filmmaker Akira Kurosawa should help get your creative week going. Here, Kurosawa explains how in order to succeed as artists, we have to dig deep within ourselves, or as he puts it, search through our own universes.

According to Kurosawa, the answers are there for us to discover, but we need the bravery to to search beneath the surface.
