Meat Your Alphabet: Designer Creates Fleshy Font
Still can’t find the right font for your kid’s birthday invite? What about the perfect typography for grandparent’s anniversary? Well, if you happen to be in the Addams Family, look no further than “Human Type,” a creation of French design studio Kerozen.
The brainchild of Kerozen designer JC Debroize, the seven-character “Human Type” was created for the studio’s annual calendar which is sent out to clients, presumably to provide them with nightmare fuel for the coming year.
In an interview with Fast Company, Debroize says he created the font using photographs of the seven-person Kerozen team. Debroize took images of his colleagues and stretched them out over letters in Photoshop, laying their skin textures over real-world clay sculpts of the letters, later adding eyes and hair for good measure.
Frankly, I’d love to see the rest of the alphabet done in the same style, if only so I can start writing all of my posts here in it.
