Daily Inspiration: Charles Mingus on the Awesomely Simple

Charles Mingus Jr. knew how to play jazz. He was a famous jazz bassist, forging his own style of hard bop music and was well known for incorporating gospel music into his works. Mingus was insistent on leading collective improvisation, he’d work with a group to showcase each individual. And in the spirit of Mr. Mingus we’ll keep this short, to honor his predilection for simplicity.
